Wall assemblies can contain multiple insulation systems throughout the same building. Exterior framed walls may use cavity insulation combined with continuous exterior insulation, while interior partitions may require insulation for sound control or fire-rated assemblies.
We review floor plans, wall types, elevations, sections, details, specifications, and insulation schedules to quantify each insulation system according to its documented type, thickness, R-value, and application.

Coordination Across the Wall Assembly

Wall insulation interacts with framing, sheathing, air barriers, vapor retarders, exterior cladding, interior gypsum board, windows, doors, and penetrations.
We coordinate the insulation takeoff with architectural wall types and available structural information to identify different wall assemblies, transitions, openings, corners, and areas where insulation requirements change.

Continuous insulation is commonly installed outside the structural wall framing to reduce thermal bridging and improve building-envelope performance.
Rigid insulation boards can be quantified by type, thickness, R-value, wall area, attachment method, joints, and related accessories where documented.

Spray Foam Wall Insulation Estimating

Spray foam insulation requires consideration of cavity volume, application thickness, material coverage, and substrate conditions.
Where spray foam is specified, the estimate can distinguish between open-cell and closed-cell systems and account for the documented application requirements.

Interior Acoustic & Sound Insulation

Interior partitions may require insulation for sound control in multifamily, hospitality, office, healthcare, and other projects.
Acoustic insulation can be separated by partition type and area so contractors can accurately price the required material and installation labor.
