Why Our Ceiling Estimates Hold Up

Ceiling systems are rarely uniform throughout an entire building. Different rooms may require different ceiling heights, panel types, grid layouts, fire ratings, acoustic properties, or specialty systems.
We review reflected ceiling plans, finish schedules, sections, elevations, and specifications to identify each ceiling assembly and quantify its components separately.

Coordination Across the Ceiling Assembly

Ceilings coordinate closely with lighting, HVAC diffusers, sprinklers, access panels, electrical devices, partitions, and structural conditions.
We review available MEP and architectural information to identify penetrations, ceiling transitions, soffits, bulkheads, and areas where the ceiling system changes.

Suspended Acoustical Ceiling Takeoff

Suspended acoustical ceilings require measurement of ceiling panels and the supporting grid system.
Main runners, cross tees, perimeter components, hangers, clips, and other suspension components can be quantified separately from the ceiling panels.

Gypsum Ceiling Estimating

Gypsum ceilings can include flat ceilings, soffits, bulkheads, curved sections, and other specialty configurations.
Drywall board, framing, joint treatment, finishing, and related components can be included where they form part of the documented ceiling scope.

Specialty Ceiling Systems

Commercial interiors may incorporate metal ceilings, linear systems, clouds, baffles, wood ceilings, or other specialty products.
Where documented, these systems can be estimated separately according to the specified product and installation requirements.

Ceiling Coordination With MEP Systems

Lighting fixtures, HVAC diffusers, sprinkler heads, speakers, detectors, and access panels can affect ceiling layouts and installation.
Available MEP and reflected ceiling information can be reviewed to account for documented coordination requirements.
