Free Drywall Estimation Tool

Before you start hanging sheetrock, you need to know exactly how much material to buy. Our drywall calculator makes it easy to find out how many sheets of drywall you'll need for any room, saving you multiple trips to the supplier.

How to Use This Calculator

Measure the length, width, and height of your room in feet. Check the box if you plan on drywalling the ceiling as well. We automatically calculate the total surface area and add a standard 10% waste factor to account for cut-offs and mistakes.

  • 4x8 Sheets: The standard size for most residential jobs. Easier to carry but requires more taping and mudding.
  • 4x12 Sheets: Often used by professionals to reduce the number of seams that need finishing.

Need a Commercial Drywall Estimate?

Commercial and large-scale residential framing and drywall projects are highly complex. You need to account for metal studs, tracks, acoustic insulation, taping, mudding (Level 1-5 finish), corner beads, and specialized fire-rated or moisture-resistant boards. Our expert estimators provide incredibly accurate, CSI-formatted drywall takeoffs.
